Welcome to Nursery! On this page you can find some useful information about our learning each half-term. In Nursery, we cover the three prime areas of EYFS: Communication and Language, Physical Development and Personal, Social and Emotional Development. We also support and teach children the specific areas of Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts and Design. 

We may also share pictures and news from other areas of learning and development across our EYFS curriculum. 

Our Current Topic for Autumn 2 is, 'Feelings - What makes me feel...?'

This half-term, in Literacy we will be focusing on the book, 'Mr Panda's Feelings'. 

We will also look at a variety of other books during our Topic time all about emotions and on the run up to Christmas, 'Happy Christmas, Maisy' and 'The Christmas Story'.

In Maths, the children will be learning about Numbers 1 and 2. They will learn to subitise, count and recognise the numeral. We will also look at patterns by identifying and creating an AB pattern.

The children will be exploring a range of different activities during continuous provision and outdoor learning to develop their fine motor skills, gross motor skills and their imagination and creativity.
