During our Spring 2 half-term we will be using our core text of 'Major Glad, Major Dizzy' as part of our learning in English. The story tells of two toy soldiers and how life around them changes over the course of a century. 

Children will be introduced to different joining words; 'that' and 'when',  and will also practise using 'when' as a sentence opener. Children will continue to work on using the correct tense with a focus on using progressive verbs and tenses.

Our maths focus is money and measurement. We will begin by recapping our knowledge of different coins and notes and move on to adding amounts and worded problems.

As our history focus, we will be learning all about the Great Fire of London. To supplement this, we will have a visit from the fire safety team.
