Trust definition

The firm belief in the reliability, truth, or ability of someone or something.

How do we know that we trust someone?

There are lots of feelings associated with being able to trust another person, including:

• Feeling comfortable around them
• Believing that they have our best interests at heart
• They are always honest with you
• Knowing that they wouldn’t do something to intentionally hurt or upset you

How do we build trust?

• Be honest to those around you
• Be kind to other people
• Follow the rules of a classroom
• Keep promises that you have made to other people
• Look after things and don’t break things that don’t belong to you
